We would like to introduce Jason Norwood. Jason is a retired professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter who goes by the name “Righteous” and has a career record of 23 wins and 8 losses. Jason is a (MAJ) retired Field Artillery Officer who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2007. He’s trained in hand-to-hand combat, worked at the Pentagon as a consultant in Health and Fitness, was an instructor in defensive tactics at the Police Academy in Austin, TX., and possesses a comprehensive background in training, operations, management, and leadership.

In High School, Jason was a Freestyle and Folkstyle Wrestler. He won a State Championship in Freestyle in New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware, and New Hampshire. He also wrestled at the Division 1 level while in the U.S. Military from 2002 – 2006.

As a coach, Jason led three High School All-Americans to State Championships in New York, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Texas. He led the Georgetown Eagles Wrestling Team to a #1 ranking in the State of Texas for 6 weeks. Jason is currently Head Coach of Longhorn Wrestling at The University of Texas– where he’s looking to advance the team to an N.A.I.A. level. He also coaches the Righteous Wrestling Club.

In the community, Jason is a Director at Men’s Work TX.– a non-profit that works with men who are in distress, and they create curricula to address the issues that are plaguing them. He sits as a Board Member of WilCo Patriots Group– a Williamson County non-profit that fights for social justice. He was a supervisor for Child Protective Services, and had previously run for City Council.
Jason is a pillar in the Georgetown community and is “willing to do the WORK necessary to create the world we want to bring our children up in“.
