We are pleased to share that Pastor Johnson spoke at the Eric Hanke Campaign Launch Event on this past Saturday, September 12, 2026 @ 6pm. Eric is a financial educator with the Texas County and District Retirement System. He’s worked with public servants in communities large and small across Texas and is running for Tax Assessor-Collector in Williamson County.
Eric stated this experience has given him a deep appreciation for county government- and that now he wants to bring this experience home to make a difference in someone’s life. “I believe every person who walks through the doors of a county office deserves to be treated with dignity, patience, and respect.” ~ Eric Hanke
Pastor Johnson introduced Eric as a musician, and explained what the musician’s role is in the ministry. He went on to say that Eric is someone who can “serve the counties of Texas and Williamson County.”
Pastor Johnson spoke about the power of music and its ability to transcend the walls that divide us, how there’s a need for unity and loving thy neighbor, and the need for servant leaders to bring us together.
He stated, “Eric is the representation we need because he will represent all people in the community, not just a few.”
Pastor Johnson and other speakers offered words of encouragement and urged attendees to support Eric on his campaign journey. The atmosphere was one of faith and belief in Eric and the Williamson County community.
In attendance were members of the community and surrounding areas, Macedonia, and local leaders.
The gathering took place at 809 Martin Luther King, Jr. St. in Georgetown, TX. It featured live music from the band Megatune– led by Macedonia’s own pianist, Paul.
We appreciate everyone who attended to support Pastor Johnson during this special engagement. Let us pray for Eric in all his endeavors to strengthen and uplift the community and Williamson County- we wish you all the best!
