Macedonia Family
We are excited to share that yesterday, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, our very own Eric Hanke won the race for Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector– receiving 55.46% of the vote (131,672 votes) against Republican appointee Catherine Totty, who received 44.54% of the vote (105,734 votes).
This achievement reflects the confidence that voters have placed in your leadership, vision, and commitment to serving the Williamson County community. Campaigns require tremendous dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice- and your victory is a testament to the hard work invested throughout the process.
Pastor Johnson recently spoke at Eric’s campaign launch event and described Eric as being a musician and what the musician’s role is in the ministry. He went on to share that Eric is someone who can “serve the counties of Texas and Williamson County.” Pastor Johnson explained the power of music and its ability to transcend the walls that divide us, how there’s a need for unity and loving thy neighbor, and the need for servant leaders to bring us together.
Eric stated that this experience has given him a deep appreciation for county government and that he now wants to bring this experience home to make a difference in someone’s life. “I believe every person who walks through the doors of a county office deserves to be treated with dignity, patience, and respect.” ~ Eric Hanke
Eric, congratulations on your successful election to office!!
Macedonia wishes you every success as you begin this important chapter of public service. May your tenure be marked by meaningful accomplishments, unity, and positive impact for the citizens you represent.
